Julie L. La Fleur - Partner

Julie L. La Fleur

Commitment, perseverance and resolution describe Julie L. La Fleur's practice style. Julie's practice encompasses all areas of family law, from divorce to child custody, visitation to child support, and spousal maintenance including modification, support and contempt. She has the experience and skills to handle complex issues involving divorces that include complicated financial situations, self-employment, and business ownership. When representing clients in custody and grandparent custody matters, she focuses on the main issue: what is best for children. In addition as a mediator, Julie is particularly resourceful in finding solutions that satisfy all parties.

"My clients are the most important aspect of my practice," says Julie. "My clients' issues are critical as I deal with the most important facets of their lives: their children, assets, debts, and property. The outcome directly effects, if not dictates, their future."

Julie is a volunteer attorney for Ramsey District Family Court Pro Se Clinic, Washington County Pro Se Clinic, Dakota County Legal Advice Clinic, and Project Homeless Connect. In addition, Julie is a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. She is a graduate of Western Wisconsin Technical College, University of Wisconsin-Stout and William Mitchell College of Law. She is licensed to practice in Minnesota and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Everyone needs time off, and when Julie cuts loose, she like to garden, cook, run, and swim. She and her husband, Bill, always have a home improvement project going. Julie also enjoys spending time with her stepchildren, including camping and hiking, attending sports activities, and playing video games.
